These three philosophies were Legalism, Confucianism and Daoism. Although they each have many differences their purpose is the same, to make society better, to end conflict.Confucius started Confucianism. He felt that if rulers were honest and children regard their parents everything would fall into place. Human nature was considered neutral and it was what you did that determined whether it was good or bad, each person had a role that they must follow. Freethinking was encouraged. Legalisms approach was much more forceful, books were burnt and freethinking was discouraged. People were non inspired by their leaders but scared of them, human nature was considered bad therefore rules and acerb punishments took place. Unlike the rest of the philos ophys Daoisms approach is much less focused on politics. The idea that humans needed to be in harmony with nature took place its all about the balance of good and bad, yin and yang.Each Philosophy has its own view of what human nature should be. Daoism believes that human nature is good, Legalism believes that human nature is bad and people need to be controlled by laws and punishments in localise to prevent them form doing wrong. Confucianism believes that human nature is neutral, and its is what you do in life that determines whether it is good or bad.
