Statistics Impact of Job Satisfaction on Employee Performance
Question: Explain about the impact of job satisfaction on employee performance. Answer: 1.0 Introduction Employee attitudes are essential for the management, as it determines the behavior of the employees within the workplace. Attainment of high level of organizational performance through productivity and efficiency of the employees is of high priority for the organization (Mathieu et al. 2014). In order to attain this objective, job satisfaction for the employees is of absolute necessity to achieve high level of performance for the organization. Satisfied workers tend to contribute more on the job satisfaction for the organization. Therefore, organizations try to create satisfied workforce for creating wellbeing of the organization. Every organization keeps substantial reliance on the performance of the employee for increasing overall performance of the employees. Job satisfaction of the employees come when the organization all kinds of demands of the employees within the workplace. The organization that is chosen for this research proposal is Leading Edge Group, which is the Australia -based international retail chain operating buying group and sales chain management (Leading Edge Group 2016). The research proposal will be concerned about identifying job satisfaction level of the employees in this organization. 1.1 Problem Statement Retail organizations are very much concerned about earning more and more profit that in turn increases the stress level of the employees. The organizations sometimes ignore the well-being of the employees for earning high level of profit (Imran et al. 2014). This high level of continuous pressure decreases the job satisfaction level of the employees, which results in low level of employee performance. It can be found that Leading Edge Group is the largest independent channel partner in retail chain. However, they are not able to properly manage the job satisfaction level of the employees that is decreasing the production level of the employees and increasing the attrition rate (Ealias and George 2012). 1.2 Research Aim The aim of the research proposal is to investigate the job satisfaction level of Leading Edge Group. 1.3 Research Objectives To investigate the impact of job satisfaction level on the performance of the employees To examine the strategies followed by Leading Edge Group for satisfying their employees To identify the issues faced by Leading Edge Group in implementing job satisfaction strategies for employees To provide suitable recommendations in improving the job satisfaction strategies for employees of Leading Edge Group 1.4 Research Questions How job satisfaction levels influence the performance level of the employees? What are the strategies followed by Leading Edge Group to satisfy their employees? What are issues faced by Leading Edge Group to satisfy their employees?
